Asiatic Lion Cub outside Gir National Park

There are many lion families spotted roaming outside and in nearby areas of Gir National park nominated area. One such big family is roaming around Rajula – Rampara – Bherai – Pipavav area since many months now. One cub of this family is clicked by Vipul Laheri. Primarily it is very dangerous for both, human habitats of these area and for lion families. This family killed many village cattle in last few months, including killing of four left alone street cows in just three hours of a dark night before a month. Villagers then shouted, thrown stones at them and had lights burning with them, after which the family ran away, but they had their well aimed dinner.

it is lion, our people in peripheral area have great respect towards lion and this is one of the major factor for survival of lions. we just have to look this matter with other angle that the land owner on this peripheral area will survive against the investors of land. government also make such policy. lion has no option to attack on civilian and their livestock if we don’t left required movement space and habitat for its natural food chain animals.
